Directory

The Directory is your workspace’s address book: the people and companies you work with outside your team. Every app uses the same one, so a client in Projects and a contact on a CRM deal are the same record.

Contacts and companies

A contact has a name (first and last), emails and phone numbers labelled work, home, mobile or other, a job title, a company, an owner and labels. A company has a name, a website, a phone number and an address with its city, postcode and country. Add your own fields for both in settings, including phone numbers, times and links to another contact or company.

A new contact whose email matches a company’s domain is suggested for that company. Contacts show their Gravatar and companies their logo; admins can turn pictures off in Settings › General.

Import and tidy

• Import contacts and companies from a CSV file: match the columns, preview, and undo an import if it went wrong.
• Merge duplicates, choosing which value to keep for each field.
• Export any list as a CSV.

Privacy

Contacts are real people’s personal data, so the Directory has what you need built in:

• Do not contact stops every app from logging their email and shows a warning on their record.
• Marketing consent records whether they agreed to marketing.
• Erase removes a contact’s personal data when they ask you to.
